X-Mas By the Sections: Section 3

( PLEASE READ SECTIONS 1 AND 2 BEFORE THIS POST. IF YOU HAVE READ ON.)
Brunch at Grandpas!! There was Sausuge Soufflet, Raspberry Bread, Cheesy Potatoes, and Sausage and bacon Platters. It was quite the spread. After Brunch/Lunch, Jeff (the original Jogus) helped set up the DSs. We spent a long time playing Mario Kart. Then it was present time. Jogus got a beautiful new Bike. Princess got an American Girl doll. SamMan and Babooshka got a lot of fun stuff. I'm so excited to talk about the final gift of the day. Grandpa gave us tickets to the best Show on Broadway. It's coming to SLC. The one and only.... WICKED!!!! Not only that, he gave us the best seat in the house. I am so excited!!! The rest of the day was pretty relaxed. We talked and sat down at grandpa's. We made some crafts from our X-Mas presents. We watched the first half of It's A Wonderful Life. I said a special Christmas Prayer and looked at our small Ornament tree. And we had a great Christmas.

Hope you had as good of a time as I did!!

X-Mas By the Sections: Section 2

X-Mas By the Sections: Section 1

My morning started early. My eyes fluttered, and I couldn't ignore my one instinct. Is it time? Give you a hint: it wasn't. 5 am. How could that be? I bounce back on to my Santa Claus pillow. I really try to go back. I'm positive it's been at least an hour. Nada. 5:15. i want to break the alarm clock. tick, tick, tick 5:20 tick, tick ,tick 5:30 tick,ti- I give up. I get out of bed. I decide to go to the bathroom. Back into bed. Tickity- Tick-Tick ( I wonder what that big box is?) Tick Tock Tick Tock (Wonder if Grandpa's making red potatoes) Tick. Is draperprincess stirring? She seems tired. We agree on reading a book. I pick up a Patricia Palacco book. And we read. Mom comes in to see what's goinig on. she leaves. We read. Quiter this time. And we talk. Until we decide to try to go back to sleep. draperprincess gets into a deep sleep, but jogus just can't. he rests and waits for the promised sound. and then he heard it, SamMan's wake-up cry. finally.

Christmas Eve

We have waited all day. We have been hopelessly trying to entertain ourselves. Anna goes to Chloe's (for the third day in row, sorry Brooke!!) She stays for a while. She comes back, but I've been busy. I went to Costco. I shopped. I rejoiced. I bought. I groaned. What do you mean, 500!
I went to Target. They don't have it. Grr. They do have this though. good. We'll just print a page off the online store. He'll understand. Maybe. We buy gingerbread. With blue bowties and red buttons.
We're ready. Hopefully. We get a pizza. It's a Petersen tradition. If you have Christmas Eve, you have pizza. We get home. We eat. After we fill up, we have some stuff to do. We deliver the last loaf of sweet bread. We give away some gingerbread. We are back at our warm home, excited. We do Christmas-Eve-y things. We start with the carols. Jogus and draperprincess play the piano.
Rudolph, Deck the Halls, Here Comes Santa Claus, Angels We Have Heard on High,The Night Before Christmas, Away in A Manger, and more. SamMan wanted to play. He just pounded on keys while we sang Jingle Bells.

And then, came storytime. I gave special presents just for the Eve. Three New Books. Each one meant something

CHRISTMAS COOKIES-A sequel to SamMan's favorite.

ANNA'S PRAYER- It has the name Anna on it. It's LDS. It's Christmas-y. What more could you want?

A CHRISTMAS DRESS FOR ELLEN- It had us at retold by: Thomas S. Monson.

We read Christmas Oranges and Christmas Cookies. It was time to go Sleepy Ni-Night. We left out cookies for Santa. We hopped in to draperprtincess's bed. And we couldn't control the joy.

And so I fell asleep at 9:30

draperprincess- 11:00

even silent night couldn't calm her down.

The Eve of Christmas Eve

The Red and Green is killing me.
The large present in the back is killing me.
The thoughts of how I'm gonna play the piano for Carols tommorow is KIL-LING ME!!!!
This could be replaced for June 21 for the longest day of the year.
It's making me vicious.
And crazy.
And viciously crazy.
I can't stand it any more.
Just make it easier on all of us and Hurry, Up time!
Christmas anticipation is a cruel thing.
I just want it to be Christmas, already.
I better leave before I get a dangerous adrenilane rush.

A CHRISTMAS SURPRISE

Aunt Janie was on the phone. I was given a mission. If possible,I was to gather the family at our front door. We shivered in the cold, anticipating our mission reward. Two large cars pull up. I recgonize those cars. I know I recognize those cars. I know as soon as I look deeper into the winsheild. I saw Aunt Kathy. Seconds later, a small sea of Santa hats parade toward the door. I gasp and celebrate. First I saw Daniel. Then Micheal. Katie,Aimee,Big Sam,McKell, Abby,Jake,Ashley,Isaac(sp?). Then we invited them in. And embraced. And chattered. And explained. Because by some crazy coincedence, they were both at Temple Square on the same nigt. The Saratogas had a Holiday Concert. Fishers had a craving for Lights. They ran into eachother. They made a plan. Created a mission. It worked. YAY!!

It was an awesome surprise. I will rember it every Sunday-before-Christmas. I am so glad you came. I was so glad to give cousins a see-you-soon-hopefully hug, which I am ever-so familiar. I want to thank Janie and Gary for an awesome Christmas surprise.

It's only three days away.

Three days.

Happy Chris-Kwanz-Hannakuah.

Ah, Winter Break

A little "Yes!" jumps through my body every time I think about Christmas. I'm not low on reminders. Snow and little footprints cover the yard. Cold kisses my face the minute I walk outside. Yesterday, neighbors came over to make snowmen and collect snow chunks on the slide, minutes later sliding down, yelping. Ice curses the roads. Mom almost got into a car accident, totaling at least one car. I drink Coco and think about Christmas morning, waking up at 5 AM, hurrying to our parent's room, excited to see the joys Santa has left on our couch. I look at the Christmas Tree, shaking the presents, that have my name on them. We might attempt last-minute shopping, or a Christmas play. We're on our way to a Christmas brunch.

And I am playing Carols on the piano tonight.

And, And,AND!!!

It's Christmas and I love every minute of it.

Santa Claus Should Be Coming To Town Eventually

Yep, Santa Lists have been made and shopping should begin soon. Why you may ask? Because shopping in November means we have to take a teeny baby and a sick mommy into the cold and crowded KMart. So Cheers to the holidays...

We're going to be in so much trouble a month from now...

about the jogusboy...

Let's just say that I'm the most awesome person in America. (Sorry, Worthy Contenders.)
