Skiing with Grandpa

SPRING BREAK AND SKIING WITH GRANDPA- IS THERE A BETTER COMBO?
Princess, Grandpa, Dad, & I had one-on-one time to go skiing with grandpa. We had a rough first run, however. The line was ridiculously long since two of the main lifts were closed due to power problems. We then decided to try a harder run to kick things off. Princess, Dad, & I had done it before, but today it wasn't groomed. Thursday had brought a lot of new snow, so we were dealing with 3 feet of powder. It was difficult to navigate through the powder, and so falling was common. This wouldn't be too bad, except for we (Princess and I were the ones with problems) almost always lost our skis. By lost, I really mean lost. We had to dig through the powder to find them. The snow was too deep to put the ski back on, so you either had to get help or go without skis. Since I was far from the group, I started to hike down. (Mother Nature was on the floor laughing by now.) The skis kept falling back into the powder. Finally, Dad was able to help me. (Dad rocks.) Somehow, we managed to get onto the groomed runs and make it back to the lift. Luckily, we were all less grumpy seeing the lift line had shrunk considerably. (The power came back.) We then stopped to gorge ourselves at Alf's. The rest of the day was so much fun. We stuck to groomed runs, and had a ball. Grandpa gave me some great tips, and I can honestly say my skiing is a heck of a lot better. We were able to get in about a dozen runs the whole day, all of which were in perfect skiing conditions. Beautiful sunshine, glittering snow, white piled on the pine trees. There was just enough powder to make it fun on groomed runs. This was probably the best spring break skiing ever in the history of spring break skiing. (I would know this because, like most Americans, I have memorized the history of Spring Break skiing.) After the lines got bigger, and we were all perfectly exhausted, we headed home. We were all inflicted with nasty sunburns, but we were to tired to care. Mom made an awesome dinner, and we slept fully and happily ever after. :)

I Gotta Feeling....

That tonight's gonna be a good, good night!
Sorry, I just had to get a Black Eyed Peas quote out of my system. (Our new favorite artist and song.)

Today I'm going to be super busy, because I have two performances of Beauty and the Beast! It has been so fun, and we have done 5 out of 8 performances so far! It has been a great experience, and I will get you all the details at around Tuesday, because I need to save my energy for the next performances, it will be crowded!

PS- I now have a special empathy for the hardships of talking brooms!

GALOON!

We just went to LAGOON! Me, Princess, and Daddy went for an afternoon and had a really good time. We mostly rode the super-scary stuff. Princess rode everything w/ us, even the Wicked Rollercoaster that I just had to show above. She even rode the towers that blast you up. We had a really good time and hope to go again soon to use our Season Passports. :)

Sigh

No, this is not a picture on our camera. (From the good ol' google image search.) I just am so depressed that the weather has been so rainy lately. It's pretty crazy. Today, the weather's beautiful and sunny. But yesterday was the biggest hail/rain storm I've ever seen. It was like a river on the street. Even before this crazy storm, "they" said that we've already had more rain in June than the average for the whole month. (Yay.) On a snowday in March, (or was it April) I joked we'd still have snow on the ground in July. The way its going now, the laugh might be on me. I think I need to enjoy our good weather day right now.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

My Grandpa Has this thing for the Touring shows coming to Salt Lake called Season Tickets. Its basically one ticket that's valid for the four or five shows coming that year. It's in the same seat on the same day. The big plus is that he can buy extra tickets to popular shows earlier than everyone else.

Anyway, he usually gets 5 season tickets a year, and than takes friends and family with him. (You can have more than one person use a ticket.) Last night, he took me and Princess to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." It was so much fun. They had an incredible brightly painted car that did actually "fly", even with people in the car. All the costumes, set, and lighting were top-notch. :)
The songs were good, and two characters in paticular made everybody laugh out loud. It was so
much fun!

SamMan & Willwam in: Jogusboy's How to Suceed in a Job in the Entertainment Industry While Still in Diapers (a Beauty and the Jogus Publication.)

Wow, these kiddos are growing up fast. SamMan is continuing his long-running gig as family comedian. Today was especially side-splitting.

(Watching Princess jog outside, in a conversation to himself.)

"Anna is a good runner. Am I a good runner? Yes, I am. Rememeber when I runned with her in the Jogapalooza?" (Jogapalooza is our school's fun run.)

(Wanting Princess to give him back the DVD case she was looking at.)

"You need to give it back right now! 1.... 2.... 3....!"

(Laughter.)

"Hey, that's not funny!!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Willwam is currently trying his luck at becoming a professional gymnast. So far, here is his response.

"4 Stars!"- Billy Bob Bob the Critic Dude "An Honor to all gymnasts in Mickey Mouse Diapers!"-
Shirley Shirleyson- Lil'Critics.com

He is a very rolly-poly baby. When you set him down, he usually ends up several feet away, on his stoumach, trying his darndest to chew the nearest item. In a recent experiment, he could roll across a blanket, and ended up with a toy train track tunnel-thingy around his leg.

So follow these two bright, young examples, and you too can be a star without the pains of toilet training.

I drank some root beer today, which reminds me of...
http://beautyandthejogus.blogspot.com/2008/09/countdown-to-root-beer-is-and-other.html
SamMan wanting to name Willwam Root Beer! Tee hee.

(Ah, the fun of looking back at old blog posts, and its not just mine I sift through! :))

Now to the real point of this post (LOL) is that this is a post! Because this is post 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I've typed and put pictures in this white little box, and then shared them 2 the world! I know I am most likely more shocked then everyone else is. I would have never thought that I would do 100 posts! Thank you for reading my blog even when it is monstorously boring. I will try harder to make it exciting, so that you don't worry about taking a nap in the middle.

100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New, New Colors

I just can't make up my mind, can I? I've been having a great summer! (got out June 5th.)

Yup, life right now is pretty boring.

One Question

New Colors- Yes or No?

The Last Week of May (This Post Will Most Likely Be Terribly, Terribly Boring) aka: Post 96

The title says it all.
On Monday, we did the 4th annual Lehi Kids Triathalon. It was a blast. We swam, rode our bikes, and then ran. We thought that when I made it to the stop where you start to run, I could just change into my tennis shoes there so that I didn't have to push my really wet feet into socks/shoes at the bike stop. However, Mo and Daddy didn't end up making it, so I ran in my flip flops. Princess did well and kept informing us that "She got second out of the little kids." (If you try to tell her that se got second out of the little kids, she gets upset.)
On Thursday, at our school fun run, the most ironic thing happened. After you run, they do a raffle and give out prizes. Me and Princess both got towel packages, (hers girly, mine boyish) that came with goggles. These were both at seperate raffle times, w/ no intentions of the brother-sister giveaway. And we both needed both of those things. A Coincedence? I THINK SO!
(And, Princess got a bag with passes to go to a bunch of cool places, so many activities will revolve around the passes she got.)
PS- I am almost to 100 posts! :)

Checking Back In.

Well, not much has been going on lately. Two things are eating away on my mind, though. To avoid having the fourth month in a row with little blogging, I decided to post and just see how it goes.

First is Football. We had an amazing 6 win-2 loss season. It helped that we had several great defensive players, (and yes, I still think you were the best this season, Keith) a star quarterback. And is it wrong to admit that yours truly only had one center-related fumble this year? (I have proper bragging rights, me and dad counted at least 9 center-related fumbles from opposing teams.) Anyway, we ended up doing really well. So now I'll explain my little dillema. I was planning on coming back and doing FF with two friends next fall. But after the game, I found out that my coach coaches at a Juan Diego league, and said that he would (or any coach would) like to have me as a center or lineman. So, I'm really unsure what to do. But that isn't the only thing on my mind.

Second is SUMMER VACATION!! I am almost done with school, and am counting down the days left of school, (I think its 15.) I can't wait for the lazy, warm days of summer to come. Hurry up, time! Yesterday we planted a garden, so weeding will be a big job this summer. Anybody have a couple of spare hours to help us weed daily?? (just kidding :)

So, ya, that's about it.

I'll post tommorow, if I have time.

Sweet Victory, Cubed

Woohoo! Me and my team have won three Flag Football games! We have a great quarterback, a great defensive system, and the best of them all, the Center, yours truly. Not to brag or anything... Anyway,I am just really excited and hope that we can continue our winning streak!!!!

3

remadgrqeGQERGNPOQadgqdgqihgoqerpoihhriqe is a good description of my brain and thoughts right now. just blah-ish. i dunno. it's a wednesday thing,i guess. i guess it's just too middle-of-the-weekish for me. wanting not to take tests. wanting to know if i can achieve my goal list in my little piano notebook. and wondering when something significant enough to blog about will happen.

and nothing has.

but again, today is wednesday, so maybe somethings have happened but i've been to tired or oblivious to notice it.

so here's some stuff from last week (3 events,to be exact) that i've been to lazy to blog about.

I WON AN AWARD LAST WEDNESDAY. It felt pretty good. It was for my science fair project, which is NOT a fun experience. But anyway, the judges gave me a purple ribbon which means that in a couple of weeks I'll go down to UVU and present my poster to some even tougher judges who will decide if i'm going to STATE COMPETITIONS. WHICH MAKES ME NERVOUS, considering that I haven't actually gotten my poster back. Hoping that it's just gathering dust in the Science Lab, and they didn't lose it. BUT THEN AGAIN, NOT UNCOVERING THINGS IS A WEDNESDAY THING, so I guess i'll just have to clear it up tommorow.

I GOT PERMISSION TO SKIP MATH CLASS. EVEN BETTER, I got to eat OREOS with my principal and everyone else who got a purple ribbon. Lots of fun.

THEN THERE WAS THAT MINI-RIOT at my basketball game on Saturday. It's a pretty fun story to tell, and since I'm no natrual storyteller, I'll do my best.

A kid on the opposing team (with a rather intimidating red mohawk, might I add,) was PLAYING DIRTY, which is Jogus-talk for PUSHING the COACH'S SON. Coach was pretty angry, especially since the REFS WOULDN'T CALL IT. He blew it off, but when it happened again, well, it really was as if he screamed "I'M MAD!" to the world.

I'm not especially proud about what happened next. But oops, too late, the first half of the story is on the internet. So put your Diet Coke down and get ready to be shocked by the Schockinator!!!

COACH PUSHED RED- MOHAWK KID!!!!!!!!!! And it wasn't a gentle one either. It was a jump-across-the-court kind of push. Well red-mohak kid's mom got FURIOUS!!! She got out of chair... Let me rephrase that. She STORMED out of her chair, ANGRILY STRUTTED across the court and started yelling at coach. They had end the game. NOT COOL!!!

have a good week.

here's to ruin the evil wrath of tq[46u9[34qrgiqhoiqhqoiqioyhpqoihqophpoqrajk;kafhhahahakjh.

Last Weekend...

By Wednesday, I realized I hadn't blogged about the baptism, so I just decided wait until the weekend ot do the post. And so finally, by 2:50 pm on a Saturday, I will try to remember every single detail about our wonderful weekend.

It started off like any Saturday morning, with a Crack of dawn wake-up time, Tv shows we didn't have time to watch during the week, muffins, and all sources of general merriment.

But we knew it wasn't an average Saturday. Will was unknowingly taking the first BIG step in his young life. Anna was taking the gospel's step two, but she actually knew about it. :-) And Jogus, he had a talk and was scared. Really scared.

We started getting all ready at about 10 am. Grandpa Brent came, and we loaded in the car.

I talked calmly to Anna, but inside it was opposite of a calm conversation.

Flutterflies and Jitterbugs made colonies in my stoumach. And they moved up to my head. And messed up all creative and reasonable thoughts in my brain. :-0

But I coudn't allow that. So I pretended like all the flutterflies and jitterbugs and a bunch of other insects that I couldn't name had decided to move their LARGE families away.

And everything went great :-)

I talked with half stumbles and trembling hands, but I got by and delivered a great talk, if I do say so myself.

Anna overcame all fears of toes or hair coming out of the water, and she had a wonderful baptismal service.

The activity day girls did a musical number, and Grandpa Brent gave a lovely "object presentation." Willwam got blessed, and we just were glad I hadn't recently turned twelve. Haha.

ha. :-)

And then we had a lunch, played with iPods, talked, and Jogus recieved a sea of comments about his talk. Ah. So glad that's over.

And we all had a great day.

NOT A GREAT START

YESTERDAY, I had a searing headache. We thought it went away, so I went to school. It came back. Mo was outside playing with SamMan, so I didn't get ahold of her. I finally decided to call her again after Lunch. I had to be checked out, and took a nap. Now, it's better. I really hope this won't happen again. I had to make up a lot of work, and I havn't even gotten my Homeroom work yet.

Life After My Birthday Morning.

I kind of wasted away my morning. After presents, I got ready, Played with princess and SamMan,and watched TV. Then the babysitters came, and we got ready to go. "Today is my birthday." I told myself. "I'm going down to Gateway to get an iPod!!" I have been thinking and writing and talking and hoping about it all morning. I wrote down on a paper how much each kind would cost, how much memory it held, color availability,Pros,Cons, and so forth. ( I know I'm a dork. An organized dork, but still.. A DORK!!) Me and Mo had big discussions. I was debating Classic and Nano. By the time we were driving there, I was debating Touch and Nano. We spent 15 minutes finding a parking spot!! But luckily, it was all worth it. We decided not to buy an iPod on an empty stoumach,so we walked in to a crowded CPK. We branched out of our usual orders. We got Avacado Eggrolls for an Appitizer. Jogus branched out of his Cheese, Pepporoni, or Hawaiin pizza and got the Original- BBQ Chicken. Mo and Daddy split the use- Tostada. Babooshka slept. And ate. And cried. hmm. We were full, but the desert menu was tempting. We had to consider if we wanted dessert at Lunch or Dinner. Since the Mexican Resteraunt that we would go to that night probably wouldn't have great options, we decided to eat dessert right there. We got a Chocolate Banana Cake. Mmm. It tasted great. One of the best desserts you can get. (It doesn't top homeade cakes, of course.) We walked through the crowded outdoor-mall to the Apple store. The guy gave me a Sale's Pitch on each kind. There were many Pros and Cons to both. But I got the King of everything Ipod-y - THE TOUCH!!! It was just a good balance of everything I wanted. Sleek design, no speakers or headphones needed, screen great for renting movies. It's essentially the iPhone without the phone. I was quite nervous it wasn't going to be a great option. But I love it. so far. Aftere we bouth THE TOUCH, we went to El Farol. My day ended with a few reruns of the Simpsons.

Thanks Mo and Daddy. I had an awesome Birthday
