Anticipating William...

William and Mom arrive this morning. We're very excited for our new arrival, no matter how many times he gets up.

Oh, Baby!

We visited the baby after dinner last night. On the drive Sam told us the line of the week. The conversation went like this:

Josh: Sam you've been wanting Mommy a lot today. Are you excited to see her?

Sam: Yeah, and I see my new baby!

Yep, he's been very excited for his new baby. When the elavator got stuck,and we tried a new one, as we were getting in Sam said, "We see my new Baby?!"

Once we finally managed to get into the room, he was the cutest little bug I'd ever see. He was small compared to Sam when he was born. He has almost olive skin and a thin,short nose. But my favorite part of him is his fuzzy black hair. He looks a lot like Anna and a little bit like Sam.
We're kind of glad he broke the Petersen "cookie cutter" tradition.

Then, we got to hold him. Sam went first (with Dad's help). Sam was absolutely adorable holding our new arrival. At one point he gently hugged the baby, and once we get that picture in our computer it goes straight onto the blog.

After each one of us held him, we saw him in his Ocotober/Halloween hat. Two words: RIDICOULOSLY CUTE!!!!

We came just at the right time to see him do tests.He was fine when we checked his heartbeat but it was not pretty taking his temperature. The crying continued when they stripped him down and put him on the scale. He was sobbing the hardest when the nures put on his shirt and diaper back on and the blood pressure test, you could hear it from a mile away.

Give you a hint,if you want to make him cry, do any of the four things above.

The moment yo've all been waiting for...

THE PHONE CALL!!

A few minutes ago, we got a phone call from Intermountain Health Care. It was Mom. Since she had promised to call "soon" after the last phone call (a few hours ago), we knew no news was probably news. And sure enough, when she called, she announced the arrival of our new baby (no name yet.)

MY BIGGEST ENTRY YET!!!!

I woke up at my usual Crak of Dawn scedule to a surprise. Grandpa Black was sitting on the couch. Startled, I almost asked, "Did you stay the night" He told me that.... my Mom is in labor!!!!!!

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!

Josh lost a tooth! (again!!)

Josh pulled his tooth at about 10:00.We were surprised ,well I was. He got 5$.Thats a lot right?Abraham lincoln was on the dollar bill.I think he was the 16th president.

FRIGHTMARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UEA started with something wicked... A Lagoon* day!!

We rode favorites the morning such as the White Rollercoaster,Colossus,and Log Ride. By the afternoon Anna and my friend Kefif was convinced (or forced) to ride the Extreme Rollercoaster o' Insanity Wicked**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily, it was everyone's favorite!

It was a very fun day!!

*= Lagoon is the only amusement park in Utah. It's Utah's in place.

**=Lagoon's #1 ride. It goes 45mph up a 90 degrees hill. Then it plummits down 110 feet. The ride also includes twists and turns and a barrel roll inversion.

McKell:Oh, I know! Every time she sees a combonation she likes while wer'e looking @ a magazine, she says, "Oh my Gosh,those colors would be great for scrapbooking! I've gotta do those!! OHMIGOSH!"

Since Sam is famous for coming up with his own words I decided to bring you a new word that won "Best New Word" award:
The Botbum.
(After he takes a hard landing on the slide,) Hahahahaha! I fell down on my Botbum.

GIGGLE # 1: And the GOLDEN Giggle goes to... SAM MAN! (Yes, he is the same person!)

After nearly destroying our table,bruising four arms,and trying to put it into the light socket, (YIKES!) Sam and the screwdiver were done. The screwdiver was put up. But Sam wasn't going to give up so quickly. He had gotten the screwdiver within ten minutes. Then, after he had "hidden'' the screwdriver behind his back, the conversation went like this.

Sam: Mommy, you go upstairs where you can't see me. OK?

Mom:Sam, will you play with a screwdriver if I go upstairs?

Sam:Um, Yeah.

At least he was honest. If that didn't make you giggle, nothing will!

Confrence April '08

Well,there's not much I can say. All the talks were great and inspirational, we had a fun weekend and best of all, we had a cousin party Saturday Night.

After two rounds of Boogieman, the kids were hyper, the Moms were giggly, and the Uncles were tired. But Sam and Iassac (sp) had their own idea. They went into the bathroom and started counting again. The uncles, just for fun, went into the room and scared them away. Everyone was laughing including them. Good times, good times

A Trip To The Pumpkin Patch!!

I'll add photos later, but yes our Halloween season has officially begun!! Friday afternoon we drove to Schmidt's pumpkin patch. The weather was a little bit dismal, but since Dad had the day off and we'd had a great experience at Schmidt's before,we decided to go anyway. It wasn't off to a great start,considering the crowded parking lot and the discovery that we forgot Sambo's shoes. But once we found a wagon, we started to have a great time. Each family member picked a pumpkin, and finding all the cute pumpkins was soooo fun!!! We also had fun buying fuit, picking out some heigh and cornstalks, and weighing our largest pumpkin. (31 lbs!!) After our pumpkin patch visit,we headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon with Grandpa Brent. Well let me just say, if you want Fall colors, we got colors. Though it was a little bit late to see colors at the bottom, we hit the JACKPOT!!! At the top we saw bright yellow Quaking Aspens (Quakies). That mixed with a little bit of evergreens was incredible. That will be a memory I will never forget. After getting some good Home Cookin' from Cowboy Grub, are fall afternoon was complete.

What a way to spend a fall afternoon!!!!!!! I love this time of year!
