The Piano Playin', Ice Cream Eatin' Post

This post is about the finer things in life. Which we all know as piano music and ice cream.

PIANO: Princess and Jogus had a great time participating in Federation this year. They practiced very hard. And luckily, it all paid off. :) They both got Superiors from the judges, which means the judges could tell they knew the song and practiced a whole lot. In our four pieces combined, we made a total of just two mistakes!! It was a great experience, and Jogus is making progress every year. Next year, we both have a chance to win a trophy! :)

Speaking of playing the piano, Jogus played the prelude in primary. It was a bunch of fun playing semi-simplified versions of "I am a Child of God" and "I Lived in Heaven."

ICE CREAM: We scream for Ice Cream!

A few days ago, I had a scoop of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Mmmm, it was good. But that's not really what this post is about.

When me and SamMan were playing outside, (we've had summery wheater throughout the week,) we heard a blaring loud, playful music. Ignoring the music, we went inside to do something else. We came in to find Mo and Daddy rushing down stairs, to tell us that the ICE CREAM TRUCK was outside. We invited some neighbor kids to come, slip on some shoes, and buy some ice cream bars. They had everything from Batman, (yes batman) to Heath.

It was yummy. :)

SamMan had a face covered in Strawberry icecream. It was hilarity, so we took some pics. I need to get them onto mushpot of awesomeness soon.

so that's about it.

(speaking of mushpot of awesomeness, i'm still mad about my screwed up post. look at the original post and the post below to find out why.)

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!

(see mushpot of awesomeness: post these are a few of ________'s favorite things)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tried to do a post on Mushpot of Awesomeness. Um yeah, didn't go so well. I decided to publish it for the comic novelty of it.

Spacing is wierd.

Pictures took foreverrrrrr to upload.

There is about 6 cazillion (no, that's not a number...) empty lines between the first and seconde line... (honestly didn't know how that ended up.)

The words don't match the pictures right.

Even the note telling that it didn't turn out right SOMEHOW got screwed up and messed up my poem about SamMan.

THIS is NOT my lucky blog day. :(

ps ( brooke's kids got SamMan addicted to power rangers. it's kinda violent but it keeps him happy so, i'm goin' with it. :)

What Do You Think!??!

What's Better for my main text color:

Tell me what you think in your comments.

Be honest.

5: The Gigantic Post

I did a huge intro last time, but I have several items of homework to get out of the way, so I'll just have to skip it. Let's just say it's been an eventful last few days around here.

SAMMAN HAD HIS THIRD BIRTHDAYwith presents, Noodles and Company, music class, and playlands. The playland was JUNGLE JIM'S a mini indoor amusement park. He took two rides on the swings, spinner ride, and rollercoaster, played in the climbing zone, and also rode the carousel, rockets, and jungle cars. Dad got us a bunch of arcade tokens, so we played their as well. It was such a blast.

JOGUS'S SCHOOL PROGRAM was just about as close to Broadway as Flabio: The Story of A Blogger Mascot is. Which means it was pretty dang close. We basically sang a bunch of American songs and said parts that was supposed to give you the "journey through America's History affect" ANYWAY, it was a lot of fun and Mo, SamMan, and Grandpa were impressed.

Later that day Dad took us NIGHT SKIING. The only real advantage to snow, let me tell ya. Princess did awesome, espicially considering that was her third time skiing. Jogus had fun too, and we can't wait to go again.

Then, MONTHS AND MONTHS OF HARD WORK CAME DOWN TO THIS EVENT. IT'S JOGUS'S PIANO RECITAL, AND PRINCESS'S TOO. It was crazy mindbending. I was pretty dang nervous. We did it at the Piano Gallery, and I calmed down by watching the silent presentation on the screen. They set up a camera so that you can see the piano player's hands on screen. It's pretty cool. Princess did great. And now for legal purposes I have to warn you that I am about to brag. I DID AWESOME!!! I only made one minor mistake on one of my songs, that's it. And I played a three-page song and a Minuet written by BACH MEMORIZED!! I am so excited, I hope I do good at federation.

Today we missed most of the school morning to go to the DRAPER TEMPLE! It was a great time to go, especially after hearing stories of people waiting two hours. The spirit was so strong there. The celestial room had a humungous and be-yoo-ti-ful chandeiler that was almost as be-yoo-ti-ful as the feeling inside. Mo and Princess LOVED the carpet and lights in the Bride's room. And the huge sealing room with the huge 'forever' mirror was another highlight. Everything on the walls were amazing, but the feeling inside was even more. Princess was close to tears of joy in the Celestial Room. It was a great experience for our family.

And afterwards, we got to look at temple pictures and eat cookies.

Sorry to my three-person fan club that I haven't blogged in forever.

Hope your life's has been as awesome as ours!!

remadgrqeGQERGNPOQadgqdgqihgoqerpoihhriqe is a good description of my brain and thoughts right now. just blah-ish. i dunno. it's a wednesday thing,i guess. i guess it's just too middle-of-the-weekish for me. wanting not to take tests. wanting to know if i can achieve my goal list in my little piano notebook. and wondering when something significant enough to blog about will happen.

and nothing has.

but again, today is wednesday, so maybe somethings have happened but i've been to tired or oblivious to notice it.

so here's some stuff from last week (3 events,to be exact) that i've been to lazy to blog about.

I WON AN AWARD LAST WEDNESDAY. It felt pretty good. It was for my science fair project, which is NOT a fun experience. But anyway, the judges gave me a purple ribbon which means that in a couple of weeks I'll go down to UVU and present my poster to some even tougher judges who will decide if i'm going to STATE COMPETITIONS. WHICH MAKES ME NERVOUS, considering that I haven't actually gotten my poster back. Hoping that it's just gathering dust in the Science Lab, and they didn't lose it. BUT THEN AGAIN, NOT UNCOVERING THINGS IS A WEDNESDAY THING, so I guess i'll just have to clear it up tommorow.

I GOT PERMISSION TO SKIP MATH CLASS. EVEN BETTER, I got to eat OREOS with my principal and everyone else who got a purple ribbon. Lots of fun.

THEN THERE WAS THAT MINI-RIOT at my basketball game on Saturday. It's a pretty fun story to tell, and since I'm no natrual storyteller, I'll do my best.

A kid on the opposing team (with a rather intimidating red mohawk, might I add,) was PLAYING DIRTY, which is Jogus-talk for PUSHING the COACH'S SON. Coach was pretty angry, especially since the REFS WOULDN'T CALL IT. He blew it off, but when it happened again, well, it really was as if he screamed "I'M MAD!" to the world.

I'm not especially proud about what happened next. But oops, too late, the first half of the story is on the internet. So put your Diet Coke down and get ready to be shocked by the Schockinator!!!

COACH PUSHED RED- MOHAWK KID!!!!!!!!!! And it wasn't a gentle one either. It was a jump-across-the-court kind of push. Well red-mohak kid's mom got FURIOUS!!! She got out of chair... Let me rephrase that. She STORMED out of her chair, ANGRILY STRUTTED across the court and started yelling at coach. They had end the game. NOT COOL!!!

have a good week.

here's to ruin the evil wrath of tq[46u9[34qrgiqhoiqhqoiqioyhpqoihqophpoqrajk;kafhhahahakjh.

Last Weekend...

By Wednesday, I realized I hadn't blogged about the baptism, so I just decided wait until the weekend ot do the post. And so finally, by 2:50 pm on a Saturday, I will try to remember every single detail about our wonderful weekend.

It started off like any Saturday morning, with a Crack of dawn wake-up time, Tv shows we didn't have time to watch during the week, muffins, and all sources of general merriment.

But we knew it wasn't an average Saturday. Will was unknowingly taking the first BIG step in his young life. Anna was taking the gospel's step two, but she actually knew about it. :-) And Jogus, he had a talk and was scared. Really scared.

We started getting all ready at about 10 am. Grandpa Brent came, and we loaded in the car.

I talked calmly to Anna, but inside it was opposite of a calm conversation.

Flutterflies and Jitterbugs made colonies in my stoumach. And they moved up to my head. And messed up all creative and reasonable thoughts in my brain. :-0

But I coudn't allow that. So I pretended like all the flutterflies and jitterbugs and a bunch of other insects that I couldn't name had decided to move their LARGE families away.

And everything went great :-)

I talked with half stumbles and trembling hands, but I got by and delivered a great talk, if I do say so myself.

Anna overcame all fears of toes or hair coming out of the water, and she had a wonderful baptismal service.

The activity day girls did a musical number, and Grandpa Brent gave a lovely "object presentation." Willwam got blessed, and we just were glad I hadn't recently turned twelve. Haha.

ha. :-)

And then we had a lunch, played with iPods, talked, and Jogus recieved a sea of comments about his talk. Ah. So glad that's over.

And we all had a great day.
