Many Important Thoughts from The Journal of Jogusboy, July 25, California Trip

I haven't been as frequent in my journal writings lately, but here is the full California recap.

SUNDAY JULY 25, 2010 {CALIFORNIA TRIP}

On Monday, we spent some time at hunnigton Beach. It took us awhile to figure out that it wasn't a good day to boogie board. But it was fun to body surf in the big waves. That night we enjooyed tortillas and we fell asleep- but not for long 'cuz we're crazy and get up at 6 am, and also cause we we were going to Disneyland. But mostly cuz we're crazy. It was a great day at Disney, however. I rode Tower of Terror 3 times, and we sat so close we got wet at the World of Color show. Sam loved It's a Small World and was thrilled when he got to meet mickey mouse (William however grabbed Mickey's nose and started Crying). We took him on some scarier rides like Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run. He handled them pretty well and should be back to normal after a year or two of therapy. (just kidding, though Splash mountain did freak him out) William had fun on the Teacups and Carousel. It was fun taking some cousins on the Tower of Terror for the first time, nobody got sued, and we still had money left so, successful day at Disney! The next day started out rainy, so we didn't go to the beach. We were all tired from avoiding lawsuits the day before, so everyone was happy to laze around all morning. We later saw Despicable Me, and ate incredible clam chowder and crab cakes. (I know this may gross out many, but this is comparable to the seafood that they serve in heaven.)
Thursday we went to Corona Del Mar beach, which is named after the famous taco shack. (Just kidding, that's Newport.) The sand was soooooo soft. The boogie boarding was fantastico. The waves were absolutely perfect and it was so much fun. One of the best memories I want to keep from this trip is boogie boarding with my mom. We were both a little scared, but we were laughing and enjoying ourselves once we got a good wave. We had so much fun, we decided to go back the next day. The boogie-boarding was still top-notch, but this time I really enjoyed being in the shallow water with Mom, Dad, and the kiddos. Everyone loved the waves. Sam claimed that he "liked the water after all." The next day, it was time to leave. When saying goodbye, Sam burst into tears. As he cried in Mom's arm, he still had an arm sticking out to wave goodbye. Before we left, we went to Balboa Island. Mom would always go to Balboa as a little girl, so it was a nostalgic experience for her. After the Ferris wheel and the ferry, it was time to leave. And now, we are returning to normal life. (sob.)

IMPORTANT THOUGHTS: 1. CALIFORNIA IS FUN.
